Congratulations on your engagement! River Place invites you to celebrate your big day at our beautiful venue. You want your wedding day to be special and at River Place we’ll do everything we can to help you create the most special memories.
River Place is a magnificent country wedding and conference venue that takes full advantage of the beautiful indigenous gardens, impressive mountain and river views all combining to provide an idyllic wedding experience. The estate consists of 18 hectares of prime river-frontage and is conveniently located just 20 minutes from both Fourways and Centurion.
Your wedding is the beginning of a journey…. a journey in life, love and everything else. Leave it to us to ensure that the journey with the one you love begins as smoothly as possible. Our wedding coordinators will provide invaluable ideas, information and inspiration towards an exciting time for the bride and groom.
You want your wedding day to be special and we’ll do everything we can to help you create the most special memories. No doubt, you’ll want to take your time getting ready. Exclusive stone cottages on the estate will give your wedding party all the privacy and time they need to look their best.
We can also arrange for hair stylists and make-up artists to come to the venue. The bridal couple will have the option and added convenience of spending their wedding night in our honeymoon suite and to enjoy a hearty breakfast the next morning before going on their way.
When it comes to the arrangements and details, once again, the keynote is flexibility. You may wish to exchange your vows in one of our stone-clad chapels with stunning views, on the lawns next to the river. You might choose to hold the reception at our restaurant on the banks of the river or at our river lapa, all of which can be specially decorated to create the mood and ambience you want. Menus are prepared by our Executive Chef for your dining pleasure.

Built from local stone in a farmhouse style to create a uniquely beautiful venue for up to 80 delegates – includes a patio with sweeping views and a bar area.
River View
An executive lapa-style venue for seating up to 40 guests, offers 270° views of the river and surrounding hills and includes a viewing deck.
Rock Boma
A rock-clad venue that offers traditional boma seating ideal for spit-braais or seated functions.
